Assistant Manager, Financial Services - GRC

About the role

KPMG Middle East is hiring an Assistant Manager for its Financial Services practice, focusing on Governance, Risk and Compliance services. The role covers internal audit engagements under co-sourcing and outsourcing contracts, advisory work on internal controls and corporate governance, and quality reviews of the internal audit function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage internal audit engagements within the scope of co-sourcing and outsourcing contracts
• Provide advisory services on developing, documenting, transforming and organizing sustainable internal control systems (COSO framework)
• Develop and implement a sustainable corporate governance model
• Perform independent reviews of the internal audit function based on IIA standards, including quality reviews against the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF)
• Develop, implement and review compliance management systems

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent
• Professional certification such as CA/ACCA
• CIA qualification
• 7-8 years of experience in internal audit, corporate governance, enterprise risk management and quality assurance review in financial services
• Demonstrable experience managing teams and handling about three engagements at once
• Experience conducting risk-based internal audits and developing policies and procedures
