About the role
Responsible for mechanical engineering and site execution activities for utility‑scale Solar PV projects, ensuring installations meet approved drawings, technical specifications, quality, HSE standards and schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise mechanical installation of PV module mounting structures, trackers/fixed‑tilt systems and solar modules.
- Review mechanical drawings, layouts, specifications, method statements and technical documents.
- Monitor pile installation, structural erection, tracker alignment and module installation activities.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, QA/QC, HSE and commissioning teams.
- Ensure works comply with approved drawings, project specifications and applicable standards.
- Conduct site inspections and support resolution of installation and technical issues.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to meet construction targets and milestones.
- Monitor material availability and correct usage during installation.
- Support preparation/review of ITPs, method statements, inspection requests, punch lists and as‑built documentation.
- Monitor quality of mechanical installation and support closure of NCRs/punch points.
- Provide daily/weekly progress updates and highlight construction constraints to project management.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–10 years of experience in utility‑scale Solar PV / renewable energy EPC projects.
- Hands‑on experience in tracker and module installation and mechanical site execution.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Good knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
- Strong coordination, problem‑solving and site management skills.
- Preferably GCC/UAE Solar PV project experience.
