Assistant Manager – Mechanical (Solar PV)

About the role

Responsible for mechanical engineering and site execution activities for utility‑scale Solar PV projects, ensuring installations meet approved drawings, technical specifications, quality, HSE standards and schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical installation of PV module mounting structures, trackers/fixed‑tilt systems and solar modules.
• Review mechanical drawings, layouts, specifications, method statements and technical documents.
• Monitor pile installation, structural erection, tracker alignment and module installation activities.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, QA/QC, HSE and commissioning teams.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, project specifications and applicable standards.
• Conduct site inspections and support resolution of installation and technical issues.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors to meet construction targets and milestones.
• Monitor material availability and correct usage during installation.
• Support preparation/review of ITPs, method statements, inspection requests, punch lists and as‑built documentation.
• Monitor quality of mechanical installation and support closure of NCRs/punch points.
• Provide daily/weekly progress updates and highlight construction constraints to project management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in utility‑scale Solar PV / renewable energy EPC projects.
• Hands‑on experience in tracker and module installation and mechanical site execution.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Strong coordination, problem‑solving and site management skills.
• Preferably GCC/UAE Solar PV project experience.
