Assistant Manager School Facilities

About the role

The Assistant Manager School Facilities supports the School Operations Manager in maintaining a safe, secure and high‑standard learning environment across school buildings, grounds and staff accommodation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for electrical, HVAC, plumbing and other essential systems.
• Manage vendor contracts, monitor performance, negotiate service terms and resolve operational issues.
• Raise, track and process purchase requisitions and orders in line with GEMS procurement policies.
• Supervise support staff and subcontractors to ensure continuous service coverage.
• Coordinate school transportation, event logistics and off‑site activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Experience in facilities, operations or school administration, preferably in the UAE.
• Knowledge of UAE health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance requests and respond to emergencies on call.
