Assistant Officer – Store Control (Warehouse Management)

About the role

The Assistant Officer – Store Control will lead a team of store staff to manage warehousing activities across Emirates Global Aluminium. The role ensures timely receipt, inspection, storage and release of materials to support production while maintaining inventory accuracy and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Administer store operations including receipts, issues, inspections and accurate accounting of materials.
• Monitor workload of store staff and optimise use of storage space and resources.
• Maintain inventory accuracy to minimise loss, damage or pilferage.
• Inspect incoming materials to verify quality and specifications.
• Release correct materials to production promptly to avoid operational interruptions.
• Identify material shortages and coordinate with Port Authority, Purchasing and Shipping for resolution.
• Comply with EHS policies to ensure a safe work environment.

Required profile

• Diploma in a relevant field.
• 2–3 years experience as a senior storeman or equivalent.
• Good command of spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Windows for warehouse systems.
• Experience using bar‑coding systems and HHT (hand‑held terminals/scanners).
• Ability to operate hand tools for unpacking/packing packages.
• Competence with mobile equipment such as forklifts, pick‑up trucks, vans and personnel carriers.
