About the role
The Assistant Operator supports the Slickline Operator in all phases of slickline jobs, helping to raise and lower downhole tools and ensuring safe, efficient well maintenance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in rig‑up and rig‑down of slickline equipment following approved procedures.
- Help raise and lower tools such as bailers, pulling tools, stems, plugs and fishing tools using wire cable.
- Collect and record operational data, monitor weight indicators and depth counters.
- Report hazards, incidents and injuries immediately to the supervisor and attend weekly safety meetings.
- Support on‑site emergency equipment maintenance and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in slickline or related oilfield operations.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Good computer literacy for data entry and reporting.
