About the role
The Department of Accounting and Information Systems at the American University of Sharjah seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor in Accounting. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and service, with a particular interest in taxation.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate accounting courses, including taxation.
- Develop and maintain an active research agenda with publications in reputable journals.
- Participate in departmental service, curriculum development, and academic committees.
Required profile
- PhD in Accounting from an AACSB‑accredited university, preferably in North America.
- Evidence of scholarly publications and strong research potential.
- Ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate levels.
- PhD completed within the last five years (preferably within three) or nearing completion.
