Assistant Professor in Public Law

About the role

Abu Dhabi University’s College of Law is seeking an Assistant Professor (or Associate Professor in special cases) to teach and research in Public or Private Law. The position involves delivering courses in English and Arabic, supervising graduate research, and contributing to the College’s academic reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate law courses in English and Arabic.
• Develop and update curriculum aligned with CAA and WASC accreditation standards.
• Supervise Master’s and PhD theses, providing academic mentorship.
• Conduct independent research and publish in reputable journals.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and community outreach.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum three years of full‑time teaching and research experience for Assistant Professor level; eight years for Associate Professor level.
• Demonstrated scholarly achievements with key publications.
• Excellent teaching ability and active engagement with students.
