Assistant Professor of Business Analytics

About the role

The university seeks an Assistant Professor to teach quantitative and analytics courses, supervise capstone projects, and maintain a strong research pipeline in Business Analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Teach courses such as Business Statistics, Quantitative Business Analysis, Data Visualisation, AI applications, and related electives.
• Use live projects, certifications and portfolios for capability‑based assessment with tools like Python, R, SQL, advanced Excel, Power BI or Tableau, and machine‑learning workflows.
• Supervise student capstones, internships and industry‑funded research.
• Maintain a Scopus Q1 publication pipeline and pursue external research funding.
• Embed analytics learning outcomes into programmes, map CLOs to competencies, and prepare course files for CAA and AACSB accreditation.
• Develop partnerships with banks, telecoms, retailers, logistics operators, government data units and technology firms.

Required profile

• PhD in Business Analytics, Management Science, Operations Research, Information Systems, Statistics or a closely related field, recognised by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education.
• Minimum one year of university teaching experience after the PhD.
• Scopus h‑index of 5 or higher (include Scopus author profile link).
• Fluent English; Arabic is an asset.
• Evidence of effective teaching and, preferably, industry experience or collaboration.
