Assistant Recreation Manager – Sports & Leisure

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Recreation Manager (Sports & Leisure) to support the delivery of exceptional guest experiences at Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain. Reporting to the Recreation Manager, you will help oversee beach services, sports activities and the overall leisure programme within this luxury resort.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct candidate interviews to secure quality hires for the Sports & Leisure team.
• Appraise, consult and develop team members to promote continuous growth.
• Maintain all Sports & Leisure equipment in optimal condition.
• Supervise the beach services team, ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of all areas.
• Verify completion of checklists and follow‑up on tasks.
• Patrol the beach area to guarantee guest satisfaction and address any complaints.
• Implement operating procedures in line with hotel standards and guest expectations.
• Perform duty‑manager duties for the Sports & Leisure department as required.
• Maintain organized personnel files for the beach services team.
• Ensure training records are up‑to‑date and that each employee receives at least six hours of training per month.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or a related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a luxury hotel environment.
• At least two years’ management experience in a similar role.
• Relevant experience working in the Middle East.
