Assistant Resident Engineer – Architectural

About the role

The Assistant Resident Engineer – Architectural will supervise architectural construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with design intent, quality standards, and local regulations in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee architectural site work, including finishes, façade systems, and waterproofing, to meet approved drawings and specifications.
• Review and coordinate architectural drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements with design architects, structural and MEP engineers, and contractors.
• Conduct site inspections, manage work and material inspection requests, and maintain accurate documentation of inspections, NCRs, and progress reports.
• Identify and resolve design discrepancies, technical issues, and coordination challenges to minimise construction delays.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 10 years of overall experience, with at least 7 years in Dubai.
• Proven experience on large‑scale villas and townhouses community developments.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations, local building codes, and construction practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Ability to review and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and material specifications.
