Assistant Restaurant Manager - Issei

About the role

Radisson Hotel Group is looking for an Assistant Restaurant Manager for its Issei Nikkei dining restaurant in Dubai. The role leads the restaurant's daily operations, ensures high standards of service and guest satisfaction, and works closely with the culinary team and other hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Issei, keeping service smooth and in line with hotel standards and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction, service quality, presentation and overall dining experience.
• Manage reservations, table planning, guest requests and service flow.
• Monitor revenue, costs, productivity and profitability, and implement strategies to meet financial targets.
• Manage inventory, stock control, ordering and wastage.
• Collaborate with the culinary team on food quality, presentation and menu knowledge.
• Drive upselling initiatives and promote the restaurant's offerings.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and resolve them promptly.
• Recruit, train, coach and evaluate team members.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety regulations, licensing and hotel policies.
• Coordinate with Sales, Marketing and other departments on promotions, special events and revenue-generating activities.
• Prepare operational reports, track performance indicators and improve efficiency.
• Maintain the restaurant's ambience, cleanliness, equipment and presentation in line with the brand.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of experience in restaurant operations.
• Experience in a Nikkei dining restaurant is preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish is mandatory.
• Established industry connections in Dubai and the ability to build business relationships and attract clientele.

Required skills

• Strong beverage knowledge, including wines, spirits, cocktails and beverage service standards.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, guest service standards, financial management and cost control.
• Proficiency in restaurant POS systems, reservation platforms and standard office applications.
