Assistant Supervisor - Packaging

About the role

The Assistant Supervisor supports the safe, efficient and cGMP‑compliant operation of pharmaceutical packaging lines at Julphar’s Ras Al Khaimah facility. You will coordinate packaging staff, ensure proper line clearance, setup, documentation and material reconciliation, and monitor hourly output while promptly reporting any deviations or technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to cGMP principles and follow gowning procedures as defined in SOPs.
• Monitor and enforce EMS and HSE requirements through training and guidance.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Organise the packaging line according to SOPs, ensuring equipment and tools are clean before start‑up.
• Distribute work to packaging employees and verify compliance with SOPs and cGMP.
• Perform line‑clearance activities, line setup, start‑up, material reconciliation and destruction.
• Complete batch documentation for the assigned shift.
• Track hourly line capacity and support maximum efficiency.
• Report deviations, mistakes or technical faults to the Team Leader or Specialist.
• Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by management.

Required profile

• Minimum Higher Secondary School qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cGMP regulations.
• Familiarity with EMS (Environmental Management System) and HSE practices.
• Understanding of SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) documentation.
