Assistant Vice President – Compliance (Health Insurance)

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – Compliance will support the VP‑Compliance in ensuring Al‑Futtaim’s adherence to health‑insurance regulatory requirements in the UAE, focusing on the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH). This senior role involves overseeing compliance matters, coordinating with internal teams, and monitoring regulatory updates.

Key responsibilities

• Review health‑insurance products, policy terms, underwriting, enrolment, claims, pre‑authorisation, reimbursement and complaints for regulatory compliance.
• Oversee compliance risks related to provider networks, brokers, outsourcing partners and TPAs, including due‑diligence, contracts, service levels, data access and audit rights.
• Monitor laws, regulations, standards, circulars and notices issued by DHA and DOH and ensure coordination with the authorities.
• Coordinate with Health Insurance, Claims, Underwriting, Operations, IT and other departments to implement regulatory requirements promptly.
• Maintain an updated register of applicable health‑insurance regulatory requirements and monitor company compliance.
• Review health‑insurance policies and procedures from a regulatory perspective.
• Support preparation and submission of regulatory reports, responses and confirmations.
