Associate Professor of Psychology (Full‑time)

About the role

The American University in Dubai seeks a full‑time Associate Professor of Psychology to join its School of Arts and Sciences. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate psychology courses, mentor students, and contribute to the department’s scholarly mission.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate lectures, seminars and labs in psychology.
• Develop and update course curricula and assessment materials.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate students.
• Engage in scholarly research and publish in peer‑reviewed venues.
• Participate in departmental service, committee work and community outreach.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in Psychology or a closely related field from a Western accredited university.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness in a Western higher‑education setting.
• Evidence of scholarly activity or strong potential for research contributions.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate collegially with a diverse faculty team.
