Automation QA Engineer (100% remote)

About the role

We are seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both automation and manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications. You will work remotely with a global team, ensuring critical user flows are reliable and performant.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain test automation for desktop and mobile critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, keeping them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments.
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams on testability and acceptance criteria.
• Perform functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features, choosing manual or automated coverage based on risk.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in QA automation with hands‑on manual and exploratory testing.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright for desktop/web and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps on real iOS and Android devices.
• Familiarity with AI tools in QA and ability to critically review their output.
