About the role
Tether is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own both automated and manual testing for its desktop and mobile applications. The role is fully remote and part of a global fintech team.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain test automation for critical user flows on desktop and mobile.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, keep them fast and reliable, and investigate failures.
- Report clear, reproducible bugs, verify fixes, and manage test data and environments.
- Perform functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features, choosing manual or automated coverage based on risk.
Required profile
- 4+ years of experience in QA automation with hands‑on manual and exploratory testing.
- Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
Required skills
- Playwright for desktop/web automation.
- WebdriverIO and Appium for mobile testing.
- Testing of Electron and/or React Native applications on real iOS and Android devices.
- Use of AI tools in QA and critical review of their output.
