Automotive Inspector / Used Car Buyer – Closer

About the role

KAVAK, the leading e-commerce platform for buying and selling pre-owned vehicles in Latin America, is expanding into the Middle East and is hiring a commercially driven Automotive Inspector / Used Car Buyer – Closer for its sourcing team. This is a hands-on role combining vehicle inspection, valuation, negotiation and deal closing.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles in detail, covering body, paint, chassis, engine, transmission, suspension and overall condition.
• Use diagnostic tools such as OBD scanners, paint thickness gauges and tire tread gauges to detect faults, accident history or hidden damage.
• Road-test vehicles to check drivability, noise, vibration and handling.
• Identify accident history, repairs, mechanical issues and factors affecting vehicle value.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and recommend the right purchase price.
• Meet sellers, understand their expectations and negotiate offers, then handle objections and close purchases within approved pricing guidelines.
• Maintain strong knowledge of UAE used-car prices, market trends and demand.
• Own the process from inspection through valuation, negotiation and purchase.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of UAE automotive experience, preferably in vehicle inspection, used-car buying, dealership or auction environments.
• UAE driving licence (manual and automatic) is mandatory.
• Good spoken English; Arabic preferred, Hindi a plus for customer interaction.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of used vehicles and valuation.
• Proven negotiation and closing skills.
• Commercial confidence in buying the right car at the right price.
