AVP & Audit Manager, Compliance (Emiratised)

About the role

The AVP & Audit Manager, Compliance will lead and participate in audits of the Group Compliance Function across the FAB Group, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in the UAE and other jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute audits of compliance activities in line with the annual audit plan, reporting findings and agreeing action plans with management.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance to senior management on compliance risks and act as the primary contact for the Group Compliance Function.
• Mentor junior auditors, conduct knowledge‑sharing sessions and promote the bank’s values and ethics.
• Monitor financial performance of audit activities against budgets and report variances.
• Maintain the audit universe, perform risk assessments, and develop audit programs in the central audit tool.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree; postgraduate or professional qualifications such as CAMS are desirable.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in an international bank or Big 4, with internal audit experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of compliance functions, regulatory environments and audit methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
