AVP SEO MENA – Regional Head of SEO

About the role

WPP Media is seeking a commercially minded, inspirational leader to serve as AVP, SEO MENA and head its regional SEO practice. This senior leadership role is accountable for the full performance of the department, including business operations, product evolution, talent development, new‑business growth and integration with broader practices.

Key responsibilities

• Set regional vision, strategy and operating plan for SEO, owning revenue, profitability, forecasting and growth targets.
• Develop and evolve the SEO product roadmap covering technical SEO, content strategy, digital PR, enterprise, local and commerce SEO, measurement and emerging search experiences.
• Lead and inspire the regional SEO leadership team, attract and develop high‑calibre talent, and build a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
• Drive regional business development, pipeline creation, pitches and client presentations to grow SEO revenue and integrated offerings.
• Integrate SEO with content, paid media, data, technology, UX, creative, CRM, social and PR teams to deliver cohesive client solutions.

Required profile

• Significant experience in SEO, organic growth or digital marketing, typically in an agency, consultancy or large in‑house environment.
• Proven track record leading a substantial SEO team or regional practice and delivering commercial results.
• Strong executive presence with ability to influence senior clients and multidisciplinary internal teams.
• Demonstrated success in winning and growing enterprise‑level client relationships.

Required skills

• Technical SEO expertise, including structured data, automation and AI‑driven search experiences.
• Content strategy and digital PR skills to build authority and drive organic growth.
