AVSEC Controller - Regulatory Affairs

About the role

Join the Emirates Group Security team as an AVSEC Controller – Regulatory Affairs, overseeing aviation security regulatory compliance across the Emirates Group.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and coordinate the maintenance of Emirates’ Security Policy, Aircraft Operator Security Programme (AOSP), and Supplementary Station Procedures (SSPs) to ensure alignment with international standards.
• Act as the primary AVSEC regulatory focal point, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support regulatory alignment and implementation.
• Track AVSEC regulatory activities, submissions and deliverables, ensuring timely follow‑up and coordination.
• Integrate aviation security requirements into operational processes, procedures and training, providing regulatory guidance.
• Promote security awareness through stakeholder engagement, communications and guidance.
• Coordinate audit, inspection and exercise activities to ensure readiness for IOSA, ISAGO, CTPAT and other assessments.

Required profile

• Completed degree or honours qualification (12+3 or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in aviation security, security management or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of international aviation security standards, legislative frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Experience engaging and managing stakeholders including government authorities and industry partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking and analytical skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IOSA standards and IATA recommended practices.
• Familiarity with ICAO Annexes and related guidance material.
• Ability to develop and deliver briefings, presentations and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
