AWS Pre-Sales Consultant - Middle East Africa

About the role

SoftwareOne is looking for an AWS Pre-Sales Consultant for its Middle East Africa market, based in Dubai. The consultant acts as a technical advisor who drives AWS cloud adoption and business growth, bridging complex business requirements with technical AWS solutions. The role covers technical discovery, design and proposal, with a strong emphasis on financial efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and qualify new AWS leads for technical, commercial and financial viability.
• Design robust, cost-effective AWS solutions (Infrastructure, Data & AI, and App Modernization) with Technical Architects.
• Lead discussions on cloud financial management and identify cost savings through rightsizing, architectural improvements and AWS pricing models.
• Manage the end-to-end technical sales process, including RFPs, custom proposals and contract negotiations.
• Deliver presentations and technical demos to C-level executives (CFO/CTO) highlighting the economic value of cloud migration.
• Conduct AWS Well-Architected Reviews focused on the Cost Optimization pillar.
• Develop service and cost models showing ROI, TCO and business impact for local clients.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technology pre-sales, strategic cloud consulting or Cloud FinOps roles.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional); FinOps Practitioner is a plus.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a significant advantage for the Middle East market.
• Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to turn complex financial and technical data into business insights.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS), CloudFront, WAF, and areas such as EKS/ECS or Data & AI.
• Cloud FinOps: AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, Compute Optimizer and Budgets.
• Cost optimization using Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Spot Instances and storage tiering.
• Understanding of the public cloud landscape in MEA and regional regulatory and compliance requirements.
