Banquet Supervisor

About the role

The Banquet Supervisor at The St. Regis Downtown Dubai ensures seamless banquet operations, leading a team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role combines hands‑on supervision, inventory management, and adherence to safety and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor banquet staff to guarantee optimal service and guest satisfaction.
• Inspect staff grooming, attire, and overall presentation, correcting any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the venue.
• Maintain storage areas using FIFO, conduct inventories, and requisition necessary supplies.
• Oversee dining room seating, safety, and guest well‑being, and manage work orders for maintenance.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and employee coaching.
• Enforce company safety policies, report incidents, and complete required safety certifications.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant banquet or food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, standing for long periods, and navigating confined spaces.
