Biomedical Technician

About the role

Amana Healthcare, a long-term care and rehabilitation provider in the Middle East and GCC and part of the M42 network, is hiring a Biomedical Technician. Reporting to the Manager, Biomedical Engineering, the role supports the maintenance and documentation of medical equipment so that it functions properly in line with established policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support biomedical engineers with the installation, inspection, maintenance, repair and calibration of medical devices and equipment.
• Assemble, repair, test and calibrate general electromechanical and pneumatic equipment as requested.
• Support asset validations according to the maintenance schedule and shift medical equipment on transfer requests.
• Liaise with the biomedical help desk team on technical activity logging and follow-up.
• Supervise and monitor supplier activities such as new installations, T&C, PPM and CM.
• Keep records of preventive and corrective maintenance and maintain proper stock levels of spare parts and consumables.
• Ensure the asset register is kept up to date.

Required profile

• Diploma or BSc degree in an electronic or biomedical discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of experience.
• General training certificate in an electrical or biomedical subject.
• Professional or technical training related to electromechanical systems.
