Business Development Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and results‑driven Business Development Lead to drive growth within the UAE logistics market. The role involves building strategic client relationships, identifying new commercial opportunities and converting them into profitable business.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities across relevant sectors in the UAE.
• Maintain a strong pipeline, generate leads through networking, referrals and industry events, and convert qualified leads into revenue‑generating contracts.
• Build and sustain long‑term relationships with corporate clients, conduct regular visits, presentations and negotiate pricing, terms and service level agreements.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, tenders and commercial offers, and coordinate with operations, finance and procurement to ensure smooth execution.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging customer segments to provide strategic insights to management.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM, track sales performance and prepare regular business development reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in commercial business development, B2B sales or account management, preferably within the logistics sector.
• Proven track record of generating new business, achieving commercial targets and managing corporate client relationships.
• Strong negotiation, presentation and client‑facing skills with experience in tenders and proposals.
• Familiarity with UAE business practices and the local commercial environment; UAE driving licence preferred.
• Experience using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
