Pre-Sales Development Engineer

About the role

The Pre‑Sales Development Engineer will work closely with distributors across the GCC, providing technical support for VRF and DX mega‑project opportunities. The role includes handling complex system‑selection inquiries, reviewing technical submittals, and delivering training to improve distributor capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Support distributors across GCC by responding to technical inquiries and assisting equipment selections for VRF and DX projects.
• Resolve complex Hitachi VRF and DX system selection issues, reducing lead times on mega‑project bids.
• Review technical submittals, compliance statements, and documentation for active projects in UAE and GCC.
• Assess distributor application teams’ technical competency and deliver quarterly training programs.
• Conduct product selection, installation training, and technical workshops in coordination with product and after‑sales teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 5‑8 years of HVAC experience, specifically in pre‑sales, business development, or technical sales support for VRF and light‑commercial AC products.
• Strong knowledge of VRF and DX system design, equipment selection, heat‑load calculations, and troubleshooting.
• Proven track record working with distributors, MEP consultants, contractors, and developers across UAE and GCC.
• Experience preparing technical submittals, compliance statements, and techno‑commercial proposals.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
