Business Development Manager – Energy Business Unit

About the role

Archirodon, an international EPC contractor active for more than half a century in Energy, Marine, Infrastructure and Defence & Security projects, is looking for a dynamic, commercially driven Business Development Manager to grow its Energy Business Unit. The role supports the established Oil & Gas Division and the expanding Energy Transition and Environmental Projects initiatives, based in Dubai in an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company's objectives, expansion plans and growth targets.
• Identify and evaluate new markets, prospective clients and construction opportunities with senior management and the Tendering Department.
• Build relationships with clients, government authorities, consultants and other stakeholders, and lead regional business development activities.
• Oversee contractor prequalification submissions, registrations and classifications, and manage BD and prequalification in areas without regional representation.
• Maintain project references, project lists, photographic archives and corporate documentation, and update corporate brochures, presentations, website content and promotional materials.
• Plan and coordinate participation in exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences and industry events.
• Lead, coach and develop the business development team, and support engagement, talent development and succession planning.
• Manage departmental expenditure within budget, assess risks of entering new markets, and ensure compliance with corporate governance and approval procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or university degree in engineering and/or an MBA.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction industry, including at least 10 years of relevant management experience.
• Proven experience in business development, market expansion, client relationship management and contractor prequalification.
• Leadership experience managing and developing teams.
• Fluency in English, verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel across the Group's countries of operation.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Energy World technologies and market dynamics, including decarbonization, alternative fuels, energy storage and power transmission systems, and Data Centers.
• Solid knowledge of project development and bid management principles.
• Ability to turn technical and operational realities into credible, client-focused commercial propositions.
