Business Development Manager - Engineering Services

About the role

A leading Engineering Services organization in Dubai is looking for an experienced, results-driven Business Development Manager. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Engineering Services and the Construction Industry, with expertise in developing business opportunities in Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB), Structural Steel Buildings and related engineering solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and build relationships with prospective customers to generate new business.
• Develop business development and sales strategies based on market trends, customer mapping and competitive analysis.
• Generate and qualify leads and manage them with the marketing team.
• Manage key customer accounts and coordinate with internal delivery teams for successful project execution.
• Take part in trade shows, industry events and networking to find potential clients.
• Prepare accurate business forecasts and reports, and provide market intelligence on trends, competitors and customer needs.
• Work with management, marketing and sales to align service offerings with market requirements, and develop marketing strategies for new customer acquisition.
• Travel across the region or country as required to meet customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.
• 10-15 years of experience in Business Development, Sales or Engineering Services.
• Experience in metallic buildings, structural steel or pre-engineered buildings is highly preferred.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and lead complex sales discussions.
• Self-driven, entrepreneurial and able to work independently; strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with engineering and structural design software such as MBS, Autodesk, STAAD Pro and Tekla 3D is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings.
• Good knowledge of the construction and engineering services industry, especially PEMB and structural steel buildings.
