Business Development Manager - Transportation & Infrastructure

About the role

Artelia, an international engineering, consulting and project management group, is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager in the Middle East. The role drives sales growth, strengthens client relationships and secures projects in the transportation, aviation, rail, metro and infrastructure sectors, supporting the Business Unit's strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development strategies for assigned accounts and territories, identifying new opportunities and securing project wins.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, engaging regularly with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Conduct market research, monitor industry trends, assess competitors and share strategic insights with management.
• Coordinate with technical, operational and tendering teams to build winning strategies, partnerships and proposals.
• Support commercial negotiations and contract discussions while protecting company interests.
• Lead client meetings, presentations, workshops and follow-ups, and represent Artelia at conferences, exhibitions and industry events.
• Maintain opportunity and activity records in the CRM system and report progress and forecasts to management.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, marketing or business development, preferably in infrastructure engineering, design consultancy, EPC or business consulting.
• Experience in the airport, rail, metro or transportation industry is essential; a passion for aviation is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business management from a prominent university.
• Proven track record of growing business and winning projects in targeted markets, with willingness to travel frequently.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, negotiation and presentation skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications for managing business development and reporting.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaborate across multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.
