Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Buyer to join our Materials team at Towers Rotana Dubai. The successful candidate will manage daily procurement activities, ensuring that all purchase requests are processed efficiently and in line with hotel standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the system daily and complete all administrative steps for allocated purchase requests.
• Validate purchase request data, including description, units, quantities, and specifications.
• Request and negotiate price quotations, securing the best quality and delivery schedule.
• Maintain the daily market list, verify new items for price and availability, and obtain approvals before vendor order confirmation.
• Forward approved purchase orders to vendors promptly via fax or delivery.
• Track pending orders through system reports and follow up on any concerns.
• Investigate and resolve price, quantity, or quality discrepancies reported by vendors upon delivery.
• Update locked price quotations, quote validity, and supplier data in the system.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant field with experience in stores, purchasing, and receiving, preferably within a hotel environment.
• Strong command of English and solid computer literacy.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems such as Opera, Micros, or FBM is an asset.
