Buying Executive – Automotive Procurement

About the role

As a Buying Executive within Al‑Futtaim Electric Mobility, you will lead the acquisition of vehicles for the BYD brand in the UAE. The role blends automotive expertise with a strong focus on customer experience, ensuring a balanced stock mix and supporting the company’s zero‑emission vision.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, source, inspect and purchase vehicles at recommended prices.
• Achieve monthly vehicle‑purchase targets and contribute to gross‑margin goals.
• Maintain a balanced stock mix and appropriate pricing to accelerate turnover and meet stock‑age targets.
• Identify and maximise wholesale opportunities for buying and selling vehicles.
• Record vehicle‑condition findings accurately and derive appropriate valuations.
• Provide a consistently positive experience to internal and external customers.
• Review performance regularly and continuously improve against agreed targets.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree.
• At least one year of relevant experience in vehicle buying, selling or workshop‑floor operations within a major automotive franchise.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Self‑motivated, target‑focused and comfortable in a high‑activity environment.
• Customer‑focused, emotionally mature and effective in a multicultural team.
