CAD/BIM Technician – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Khatib & Alami is seeking an experienced CAD/BIM Technician to support infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi. You will create and maintain accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for roads, utilities, drainage and sewerage works.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM models for roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage and related infrastructure.
• Develop plans, profiles, sections, layouts, details and construction drawings.
• Update drawings and models based on design changes, site requirements and engineering comments.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to identify and resolve clashes.
• Produce and update as‑built drawings using site and survey data.
• Maintain drawing registers and document‑control records while ensuring compliance with project, QA/QC and Abu Dhabi authority standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, CAD, BIM or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a CAD/BIM Technician on infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, levels, coordinates and construction details.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high‑quality documentation.

Required skills

• AutoCAD (strong proficiency).
• Civil 3D (preferred).
• BIM coordination and clash detection.
• Preparation of as‑built drawings.
• Experience with roads, utilities, drainage and sewerage projects.
