Cadet Technician Programme – UAE Nationals Only

About the role

Etihad offers a two‑year Cadet Technician Programme designed to launch the aviation career of UAE nationals. The hands‑on training combines theoretical study with on‑the‑job experience, preparing participants to become licensed Aircraft Technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the GCAA‑approved training syllabus and maintain a 75% pass rate on all module exams.
• Carry out on‑the‑job training, log work in the Schedule of Work, and meet all performance requirements set by GCAA, the training institute and Etihad.
• Participate in mandatory training, technical competency assessments and ensure all work complies with Etihad, health‑and‑safety and GCAA regulations.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes, company procedures and maintenance best practices.

Required profile

• UAE national with a valid family book, aged 18‑29.
• High school certificate (or equivalent) with Maths/Physics/Science and at least 60% overall.
• Strong command of English.
• Completed or permanently exempted from UAE National Service (males only).
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, outdoors and wear Etihad’s tech uniform.
