Captain Waiter (Arabic Speaker) - All Day Dining

About the role

Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, a 5-star beach resort in Abu Dhabi, is hiring a Captain Waiter fluent in Arabic for its All Day Dining restaurant. The role supervises a designated station, ensures efficient service operations and maintains the highest standards of luxury hospitality. It calls for fluency in Arabic and English, strong leadership and excellent guest relations skills, and prior experience in an upscale hotel dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and professionally, and ensure attentive, courteous and efficient service throughout their meal.
• Know the menus, daily specials, promotions and beverage offerings, and anticipate guest needs with tailored recommendations.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Oversee the assigned service section, coordinate service activities and keep communication smooth between guests, staff, kitchen and management.
• Monitor table turnover and dining flow, check table setups and verify that food and drinks are served accurately and on time.
• Guide, support and coordinate waiters, commis waiters and hostesses, and train new colleagues on service standards and menu knowledge.
• Assist supervisors and managers, monitor staff performance, promote teamwork and ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety rules.
• Check dining areas regularly, monitor guest feedback and address service concerns proactively.
• Promote menu specials, seasonal offerings and beverage pairings, and upsell food and beverage items to support revenue targets.
• Support promotional events, themed evenings and special dining experiences, and assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Process guest checks and billing accurately, know the POS system, prepare shift reports and communicate updates to management.

Required profile

• Fluent in Arabic and English, spoken and written.
• Prior experience in an upscale hotel dining environment.
