Cashier – Hospitality

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for handling guest payments, cash management and ensuring accurate billing across hotel outlets. This position supports the Front Office and F&B teams while maintaining high standards of service and security.

Key responsibilities

• Settle guest checks in Fidelio, handling cash, credit cards, gift certificates and foreign currency.
• Maintain the house bank, issue change, and ensure it is fully stocked at all times.
• Prepare and deposit cash sales in remittance envelopes, logging daily drops with security verification.
• Verify credit‑card signatures, expiry dates and transaction totals against guest folios.
• Check guest identification when settling checks to rooms and enforce cheque policy.
• Monitor gift‑certificate validity, expiry dates and attach redeemed certificates to guest checks.
• Ensure punctuality, proper grooming and compliance with hotel policies.
• Assist in task‑force teams for new openings and provide support to other hotel areas as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a cashier or guest‑facing role in a luxury hotel or hospitality setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on exceptional customer service.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Fidelio (hotel property management system).
• Micros (point‑of‑sale system).
