Category Lead, Primary Care and Specialty Care – Middle East

About the role

The Category Lead for Primary Care and Specialty Care in the Middle East is a strategic member of the regional leadership team, responsible for the end‑to‑end strategy, performance and long‑term value of a broad healthcare portfolio across the cluster.

Key responsibilities

• Define and translate the Middle East category strategy into clear portfolio, brand, market and customer priorities aligned with the operating plan.
• Lead end‑to‑end portfolio planning for established brands, growth initiatives and future launches, balancing short‑term delivery with long‑term value.
• Own category business performance, setting revenue, market‑share, profitability and resource‑deployment targets.
• Develop differentiated growth strategies for Primary Care (high‑scale) and Specialty Care (specialized pathways) assets.
• Lead integrated launch strategy and readiness for new products, indications and presentations across markets.
• Partner with Sales to advance modern, data‑driven customer‑engagement models and ensure alignment with distinct care journeys.
• Collaborate with Access & Value, Medical, Policy & Public Affairs and other functions to shape pricing, reimbursement and patient‑access strategies.
• Build a high‑performing, inclusive marketing organization, develop talent and promote a culture of excellence and compliance.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in category or portfolio management within the healthcare sector.
• Strong track record of leading cross‑functional teams across Commercial, Medical, Access, Regulatory and Finance functions.
• Ability to translate enterprise and regional priorities into actionable market and launch plans.
• Excellent analytical and data‑driven decision‑making skills, with experience in P&L ownership.
