Category Manager

About the role

The Category Manager will lead the procurement of materials and services, ensuring strategic sourcing, quality control, and compliance with company policies. This role oversees the purchasing team and drives cost‑effective supplier relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans, perform spend analysis, and prioritize tender categories.
• Identify, pre‑qualify, and negotiate with new suppliers, manage e‑auctions, and prepare contract agreements.
• Supervise the purchasing team, approve purchase orders, and ensure timely procurement in line with policies.
• Mobilize new projects by creating material and service delivery plans and monitoring budgets.
• Monitor supplier performance, evaluate contracts, and address non‑compliance.
• Prepare spend reports, track savings, and liaise with auditors on procurement processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in soft‑service procurement.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques, market intelligence, and data analysis.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing a team.
