Central Controller (Finance & Project Controlling)

About the role

Thales Emarat Technologies is seeking a Central Controller to support the CFO in overseeing financial management and project controlling across its UAE operations. The role combines cash management, KPI monitoring, and audit leadership to ensure accurate, compliant, and reliable financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor shared‑services KPIs, focusing on timely payments.
• Manage project cash‑in and cash‑out, forecast cash flow and optimise operating cash‑flow with Operations.
• Review working‑capital requirements and reduce DSO on inter‑company accounts receivable.
• Lead ICV requirements and travel occasionally to Abu Dhabi.
• Oversee financial activities of UAE entities, including monthly balance‑sheet reviews.
• Lead audits and prepare financial statements for all UAE entities.
• Implement and maintain internal controls (ICMA, ICQ) in line with regulatory and corporate standards.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Take over project controlling for new projects as the business grows.
• Participate in finance transformation initiatives, including SAP improvements and agile tools.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant or CPA with at least 5 years of experience.
• Strong audit background – audit experience is mandatory.
• Expert knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work with high standards of conduct.
