Charge Nurse – Emergency Department

About the role

The Emergency Department (ER) of Al Ain Region is seeking an experienced Charge Nurse to lead triage, rapid assessment, and stabilization of patients. You will ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based emergency care while coordinating staff and resources during critical events.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee triage prioritization, rapid assessment, and emergency interventions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with organizational standards.
• Guide staff in clinical emergencies and respond to cardiac arrest, trauma, and resuscitation.
• Ensure proper medication administration, narcotic control, and adherence to ER medication safety protocols.
• Coordinate patient flow from arrival through admission, discharge, or transfer.
• Maintain readiness of emergency equipment, supplies, and resuscitation resources.
• Lead emergency management for mass‑casualty incidents, disaster activation, and surge events.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing from Canada or USA with a minimum two‑year program.
• Successful completion of the national licensing exam (NCLEX‑RN, Canadian Licensing Exam, or DOH license/eligibility).
• Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in emergency care.
