Chef de Partie - Main Kitchen

About the role

The Chef de Partie will lead a designated section of the Main Kitchen at La Suite Dubai Hotel & Apartment, part of the NH Collection portfolio. You will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high‑quality dishes while maintaining strict hygiene standards and supporting the overall kitchen operation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to approved recipes and quality standards.
• Manage the assigned kitchen section efficiently during service, ensuring timely delivery of dishes.
• Monitor food quality, taste, texture, and presentation before service.
• Organise daily mise en place and coordinate with other sections for smooth operations.
• Control food waste, practice portion control and apply FIFO principles for storage.
• Supervise, train and guide Commis Chefs and Kitchen Helpers, delegating tasks and monitoring performance.
• Assist in menu development, recipe standardisation and seasonal promotions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar kitchen role, preferably within a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Ability to lead a small team, train junior staff and maintain a clean, organised work environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene regulations and cost control.
