Chief Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function of SKYART STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS FZE in Sharjah. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, tax compliance and cash‑flow management while ensuring adherence to International Financial (IF) standards and UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate budgeting, financial forecasts and variance analysis with relevant departments.
• Manage UAE VAT and corporate tax preparation and compliance.
• Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Act as primary liaison with external auditors.
• Monitor cash flow, bank balances and perform bank reconciliations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team.
• Identify and implement process improvements in accounting and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of IF accounting principles and UAE tax regulations.
• Proven experience with UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and leadership skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software/systems.
