Accountant – Shipping & Freight Forwarding

About the role

Golden Helix Shipping L.L.C is looking for an experienced Accountant to join its team in Sharjah. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records and supporting daily accounting operations within the shipping and freight forwarding environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial documentation.
• Record daily financial transactions and prepare journal entries.
• Reconcile bank, customer and supplier accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in the shipping or freight forwarding industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
