Chief Accountant

About the role

Inflexion is seeking a highly skilled Chief Accountant to lead its accounting operations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance in the UAE. The role involves managing month‑end and year‑end close activities, providing financial insights, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Bank Reconciliation.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial closings and prepare IFRS‑compliant financial statements.
• Manage UAE VAT filings, corporate tax compliance and coordinate with external auditors.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, project profitability and prepare management reports.
• Lead payroll processing, internal controls and mentor the accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, CMA) preferred.
• 8‑12 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3‑5 years in a senior supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, corporate tax and statutory reporting.
• Experience in IT services, consulting or ERP implementation is an advantage.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA or SAP Business One.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Technical knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets and payroll accounting.
