Chief Accountant & Tax Specialist

About the role

Deluxe Holiday Homes, a leading short‑term rental and property‑management group in Dubai, is professionalising its finance function. The Chief Accountant & Tax Specialist will own the full accounting cycle, corporate tax and VAT compliance, and the external audit for all group entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end close and consolidation across multiple entities, ensuring timely delivery of clean financial statements.
• Prepare, file and maintain corporate tax and VAT returns in‑house, keeping all supporting documentation up to date.
• Lead the Deloitte external audit from preparation through to signed financials, handling all auditor queries.
• Maintain and enforce the controls framework, including segregation of duties, payment‑approval routing and inter‑company reconciliation.
• Supervise the Senior Accountant in Dubai and the accounting team in Armenia, reviewing their work and providing guidance.
• Oversee cash‑control processes, fixed‑asset register, accruals and pre‑payment schedules.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent) with at least 5 years of experience, including a senior or chief‑accountant role.
• Hands‑on experience filing UAE corporate tax and VAT.
• Strong background in month‑end close, consolidation and inter‑company accounting.
• Proven ability to run a Deloitte‑level audit end‑to‑end.
• UAE resident with excellent written English and comfortable interacting with banks and the FTA.
