Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead the accounting function for Gemini Trading Group in Abu Dhabi, overseeing daily financial operations, reporting and compliance. This position reports to the Chief Accountant and works closely with the finance, sales and HR teams to ensure accurate financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly sales reports, monitor cash flow, petty cash, loans and PDC cheque payments.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, approve general ledger entries, conduct bank reconciliations and manage month‑end/year‑end closing activities.
• Reconcile supplier and customer accounts, vehicle inventory, and ensure compliance with RTA transactions and sales agreements.
• Supervise the accounting team, provide guidance, monitor performance and ensure timely submission of documents to banks, suppliers and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare financial statements, projected cash flows, budget tracking and support external audits.
• Ensure payroll processing through WPS, employee compensation compliance and coordination with HR on UAE labour law requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal financial policies, intercompany reconciliations and tax (VAT) reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
