Chief Baker

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Chief Baker to lead the pastry and dessert operations at Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort, part of the Anantara Hotels & Resorts portfolio in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Director, you will shape the culinary experience for our guests while mentoring the next generation of pastry talent.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce innovative pastries and desserts that reflect global trends and the Anantara brand ethos.
• Develop and mentor aspiring pastry chefs, identifying high‑potential talent and providing structured training.
• Manage food cost without compromising creativity, ensuring profitability.
• Create showpiece productions for special events such as weddings, birthdays and anniversaries, and oversee buffet displays.
• Act as a Food Ambassador for new hotel openings and task‑force missions.
• Participate in culinary competitions to showcase originality and product quality.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health and safety standards in the pastry kitchen.
