Chief CAD Designer Mechanical

About the role

The Chief CAD Designer – Mechanical for Halcon will lead the creation, control, and release of complex mechanical design documentation in a highly regulated engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop complex 3D CAD models, assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings using Creo and SolidWorks.
• Generate manufacturing‑ready documentation including sheet‑metal, machined parts, welded structures, BOMs, DXFs and CNC‑ready files.
• Manage CAD data, document and revision control, and Engineering Change Requests/Notices within Windchill PLM.
• Provide technical oversight, drawing approval, mentoring and continuous improvement of CAD standards and templates.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 12‑15 years of experience in mechanical CAD design, detailing and manufacturing documentation.
• Advanced proficiency in Creo and SolidWorks, including part modelling, assemblies, sheet metal and drawing modules.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, BS 8888, ISO GPS standards and Windchill PDM/PLM configuration management.
