Chief Design Officer – Real Estate & Hospitality

About the role

The Greater Change is creating a new in‑house design studio to shape the creative identity of its real‑estate and hospitality portfolio. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Design Officer will set the design vision, drive innovation and ensure design excellence across all projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the overall design strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Establish design standards and creative benchmarks for residential, hospitality and mixed‑use developments.
• Introduce emerging design trends, technologies and best practices to foster innovation.
• Build and scale the internal design studio, recruiting and mentoring multidisciplinary creative teams.
• Create collaborative processes, governance frameworks and a high‑performance culture.
• Oversee design delivery, coordinating with development, marketing and commercial teams.
• Manage consultants, architects, vendors and specialist partners to ensure projects are on time, within budget and meet quality standards.
• Present design concepts and strategy to executive leadership and act as the principal design advocate.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of experience leading design functions in real‑estate, hospitality or related sectors.
• Proven ability to build and scale creative studios and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commercial acumen and experience working with senior leadership.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
