Principal CAD Designer – Electrical (PCB)

About the role

The Principal CAD Designer – Electrical is responsible for creating, controlling, and releasing complex multi‑layer PCB layouts and manufacturing documentation in a highly regulated engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop multi‑layer PCB layouts, component placement and routing using Altium Designer, addressing signal integrity, EMC/EMI, thermal and manufacturability requirements.
• Generate complete manufacturing packages (Gerber, ODB++, NC drill files, assembly drawings, BOMs) and ensure they are ready for production.
• Manage PCB configurations, revisions and change control within Windchill PLM, maintaining full traceability.
• Review designs, maintain component libraries, mentor junior designers and drive continuous improvement of design methodologies.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8–15 years of PCB CAD design experience in a regulated industry.
• Advanced proficiency with Altium Designer and strong knowledge of Windchill PDM/PLM, IPC standards and configuration management.
