Civil Designer – Airfield Infrastructure

About the role

The Airfield Civil Designer will support multidisciplinary airside design projects, delivering high‑quality consultancy reports, engineering calculations and technical drawings for airport infrastructure. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, senior designers and external consultants to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate design concepts and consulting deliverables to internal and external stakeholders.
• Break down project assignments into manageable tasks, allocate resources and estimate timelines.
• Prepare detailed technical assessments, bills of quantities and quotation documents for airside civil works.
• Perform structural and load calculations for manholes, duct banks, steel structures, and supporting elements of airside systems.
• Review and produce material specifications, installation detail drawings and pavement/marking layouts.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance phases.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and review consultancy reports for civil infrastructure.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in airside civil design or related engineering fields.
• Proven ability to manage tasks, estimate effort and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder presentations.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external consultants.
